Asheville is a little out there, sure. It surfs the waves of a rapidly changing culture, and marches to a different drummer, mixaphorically speaking. But that’s part of its charm.

Another, more obvious part is its setting. On many mornings, you can easily see why the surrounding mountains are called the “Blue Ridge.” You can drive the spectacular Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville for breathtaking views of the North Carolina mountains. There are hiking trails and waterfalls to be found.
But let’s face it, the real wildlife can be found in town. In the arts scene. At the diverse dining experiences. Music, everywhere. And the amazing Biltmore House for a different kind of scenery. Yeah, Asheville is a little out there – and there are a lot of folks who are out, there. But there’s nothing quite like it in the East. And they wouldn’t have it any other way.
