Okay, here’s a project: Try to think of something Amazon doesn’t sell. Oh, I can’t believe where your mind went. Of course they don’t sell that. But here are some of the obscure things you can find on Amazon – centrifuges…compression fittings…trash compactors…power hoists…urinals…RV parts…organic cat food…well, you get the idea.

You old timers might remember Amazon as an online bookstore. You know, way back in 1995 when it sold its first book, Fluid Concepts and Creative Analogies: Computer Models of the Fundamental Mechanisms of Thought. (By the way, you can still get a used copy on the site for as little as $3.78. I bet it’s a real page-turner.)

And the company keeps coming up with great innovations, from the various permutations of the Kindle to its successful mp3 store. This company is always thinking, always a step ahead, always making the online experience more diverse and enjoyable. So here’s to the imagination and will of Jeff Bezos, company founder and CEO, and to all his bright minions. Keep up the good work up there in Seattle. We can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with next…
